Thursday, June 18, starting at 18 at the Provincial Museum which are situated in Foggia in via Arpi155, will present the first seven volumes of the series "The thread of memory", directed and edited by Salvatore Speranza Southeast by the publisher. The meeting, which will bring the greetings of the Province of Foggia Councillor Maria Elvira Council for Culture, will take the author and some players in volumes: the Hon. Gustavo de Meo, the Hon. Donato De Leonardis, the Hon. Peter Carmen, the Hon. Pasquale and Dr. Panico. Franco Galasso.
The Museum of the Territory and the Province of Foggia have promoted since September of 2007 in early January 2008, a series of meetings with the protagonists and witnesses of history and politics of captains.
The initiative, called "The thread of memory", was curated by Frank Mercurio (Director of the provincial museum and library systems) and Salvatore Speranza (Project Manager), who also created the interviews to the various guests of the evening.
cycle - the first since the project was completed a year later - was dedicated to the captains in the years 1948-1958, although not rare were the memories and historical reconstructions of the characters implicated in other periods that ranged not only local history but also the national one. The aim of the interviews was to "photograph" Memories of the architects of the time, so as to give autobiographical information and first-hand.
Edizioni Southeast now have given birth in the series "The volumes" to a series curated by Salvatore called Hope note "The thread of memory", which contains the texts of the protagonists of those conversations and integrates them with biographical notes, a camera kit and a detailed chronological reconstruction of the events of that bow across time in the securities of the local press. From the third volume, in fact, each monograph contains the history of a year, while the second provides a brief overview of the entire period.
The first seven volumes (pp. 80, € 5.00) are dedicated to historical figures of seven people in the province of Foggia:
- Gustavo de Meo, Democrat, and over 6 times the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Zoli with Governments, Fanfani, Tambroni Lion and Andreotti;
- Donato De Leonardis, Democrat, 5 times of the Christian Democratic parliamentary and provincial secretary;
- Peter Carmen, communist, and 3 times the parliamentary secretary of the provincial Communist Party;
- Michael Valentino, socialdemocatico several times to the Council and member of the town of Foggia;
- Pasquale Panico, communist senator and provincial secretary of the CGIL,
- Franco Galasso, Democrat, president of the province of Foggia;
- Salvatore Imbimbo, the Socialist deputy mayor of Foggia and provincial secretary of the PSI.
